Although I was born in Milwaukee, I spent my childhood in Libertyville, a northern suburb of Chicago. I attended grade school at St. John’s Lutheran, but daily crossed the state line into Kenosha, Wisconsin for high school at Shoreland Lutheran. Following high school I went to Martin Luther College in New Ulm, Minnesota and Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary, in Mequon, Wisconsin. I interned for a year in Hastings, Minnesota where I got my first taste of life along the Mississippi. After graduating in 2010 I was initially assigned to Zion Lutheran, in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. I served there for just over six years. During those years I also married Heidie my best friend whom I’ve known since high school. In Rhinelander I was blessed with my son, Hudson. After moving here to Winona I welcomed my daughter, Emmaline to the family. My family enjoys cooking and eating, reading, and exploring the drifless region together. From little on, I’ve also had an interest in railroading.
It’s a joy to serve St. Matthew’s. I’m thankful to be surrounded by so many dedicated and hard-working volunteers who make ministry possible. I’m grateful for the opportunity I’ve been given to share Christ and his forgiveness as my life’s calling.
